8 Days Taiwan trip with family
Taiwan has many interesting places to visit. I prefer not to visit all in one trip. So with my limited time in Taiwan, I decided to pick a few places to cover. My group of 7 consists of young and old. The activities should appeal to all ages, or at least something for each of them. We hire a driver- Johnny for some of the days to transport us, as well as sight seeing.
Day 1
Leave home for Changi Airport
Flight time 8am
Arrival at Taoyuan Airport
Lunch at airport (Food court)
Take 2 taxis to Holiday Inn Express (~NT500)
Check in hotel. Rest and wash up.
(optional) dinner at Taimall 台茂 Japanese Ramen／Foodcourt
Cab to Taoyuan Tourist Night Market
*some shopping along 中正街 Watson, Cosmed
Optional :
Cab to 大溪和平老街 (40mins away from Hotel)
飛魔力足體養生 (8mins walk from Holiday Inn Express)

foot massage NT600 for 40mins
body massage NT900 for 60mins
Day 2
Holiday Inn Express Taoyuan
Johnny fetches us at 9-10am.

Real trains converted into a train restaurant which serves train bento meals, and rooms for stay.
Day 3
Transport to Flying cow from 石蓮园
(Ask Minsu to help with transport arrangement, about 45mins ride)
The kids love feeding the animals. So be
Can have lunch at 紅穀倉 (serves italian/western food/ rice) @ Flying cow
Check in Flying cow at 3pm.
Things to do in Flying cow ranch with the kids: DIY activities ice cream making, cake making. craft painting.

Day 4
Rest and relax. check out and enjoy the farm
Johnny fetch us to Cingjing NT6000
彩虹眷村 (Rainbow Village) Taiwan, 台中市南屯區 (on the way) - we didn't have time to go.
Strawberry picking 大湖草莓- Just tell the driver, and he will bring you to the street where there are many strawberry stalls which let customers pick strawberries and charge by weight.
Stopover Taichung for lunch before going up Cingjing is a good idea as the choices will be limited once you hit Cingjing.
Energy Home Vacation Village
No. 9-1-1榮光巷 Ren’ai Township, Nantou County, Taiwan 546
*Arrange transport via minsu for tomorrow.
The reason I picked this place is the walkable to mos burgers, carton king restaurant, 7-11 and the Little Swiss Garden.Since we are staying for 2 nights at Cingjing, 1 dinner will be hot pot at our minsu and the other dinner can be at Carton King.
Day 5
After breakfast, which is included in the stay, we took transport to 青青草园 (Entrance fee : NT160 each)

Check out, Johnny picks up at 10am
合欢山 He Huan Shan
九族文化村
After 合欢山, we went to Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village. The kids went to the amusement park for rides while the grown ups explored the culture village.

*Miyahara sells ice cream and 太阳餅
High Speed Train back to Taoyuan Airport (tickets can be purchased at 7-11), transfer bus to Taoyuan International Airport.
